Josef Kramer
Josef Kramer was born in Munich, Germany on November 10th, 1906. Kramer joined the Nazi Party in 1931 and became a SS member in 1932. Kramer quickly took charge and became the commandant of the Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp in 1941. In 1942, Kramer became Captain of the gas chamber in Auschwitz. During 1944, Kramer was moved to the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp, here he became known as "The Beast of Belsen." Kramer was tried at the Bergen-Belsen Trial in 1945 and sentenced to hang on December 13th, 1945.
