Howard K. Smith
Howard K. Smith was born on May 12th, 1914 in Louisiana, United States. In 1940, Smith was sent to Berlin where he worked for the Columbia Broadcasting System. Smith interviewed many high command SS officers including Hitler himself, however he refused to use the interviews in Nazi news reports. Therefore in 1941, Smith was thrown out of the country and headed to Switzerland. By 1962, Smith was in London working for CBS as a broadcaster. Smith died in Maryland, United States on February 15th, 2002.
