The home front of Japan was not well organized. The Japanese government had focused more on propaganda then actually mobilizing their citizens to begin rationing their food, logistics, and did not evacuate their citizens from the larger targeted cities. There was only a small increase of women entering the workforce due to their "family system". The evacuation did not occur until the bombing attacks from the U.S. were beginning to occur.
