Britain
The home front of Great Britain during World War 2 was largely similar to the United States. Winston Churchill believed that the home front of Great Britain was as important as any battle. The citizens were forced to ration their supplies due to their military soldiers requiring large amounts of the resources. Several companies tried to boost morale through propaganda in the papers and tried to prevent any morale killing pictures (such as destroyed houses of British citizens). Women had played a crucial role in the home front as well, everyday they recycled, rationed, and re-used. They were also used for "war work" in 1941.
