Adolf Hitler
The Childhood of Hitler
Adolf Hitler had been born in April 20th 1989. The city that he lived in was Braunau am Inn, Austria. He had grown up in a strict and tense atmosphere at home due to his father, Alois having retired from civil service in 1895. His father eventually died when he was 13, this had caused things to become very tough for Hitler and his family due to lack of money and his mother having to raise him and his family all by herself. Hitler had went to school as a child until the year 1905 where he dropped out.
Hitler Before WWI
Before the traumatic experience of WWI had occurred Hitler had often dreamt of being an artist. In the year 1907 he made the decision to apply to Vienna Academy of Art, however he was unable to pass the entrance exam. After this failure his mother had passed away from breast cancer, and after this he had once again applied to the same art school, difference this time was he wasn't even allowed to take the entrance exam.
After this Hitler had spent the next 4 years of his life in Vienna. This time was very tough for him because he was extremely poor, the only income that he acquired was from his architectural drawings and selling post cards, his mother had also left him a small inheritance. During these 4 years Hitler had began to develop an interest in German politics and was heavily influenced by pan-Germanism

Hitler: A WWI Soldier
Now Hitler as an individual did not want so be enlisted into the Austrian military so to avoid this he had moved to Munich, Germany in May, 1913. However after this WWII had actually broke out so Hitler asked for special permission to serve in the Bavarian-German Army. Now as the war went on Hitler turned out to be a very courageous soldier. Hitler during the war had been awarded the Iron cross (first class) and the Iron cross (second class). However a gas attack had caused Hitler to temporarily lose his sense of sight, when he was in the hospital he heard about the end of the war and Germanys defeat. This had started his thirst for revenge and his desire to change the world.
Hitler begins to influence politics
At the end of the war the citizens of Germany had felt betrayed by the government because of how sudden and unexpected their surrender actually was. The inflation that was increasing had caused living in Germany to become very difficult. After a while Hitler began "spying" on various political parties until eventually he had found one that he liked, this party was the Nazi Party. A little after joining the group Hitler had became the leader of the party
Hitler's failed coup
Now Hitler arrogantly believed that he could lead a better Government in Germany than the current one. His goal was to bring strength and prestige back to Germany. On November 9th, 1923 the Beer Hall Putsch had occurred, which was an attempted coup of the government. This had failed and Hitler was sentenced to prison for 5 years. During his nine month stay at the prison Hitler had come up with several ways for him to control Germany and eventually take over the world, he published a book about his thoughts which is called the Mein Kampf.
Hitler takes control of Germany
By the time July 1932 had came around Hitler was able to garner enough support to be able to run for president, although he lost the election to Paul von Hindenburg. Despite this Hitler was still appointed Chancellor of Germany. A year and a half after this occurred Hitler had acquired enough power to take both the Chancellor and President position and combined them, creating the position of Fuhrer. Hitler began a reign of terror by putting everyone that disagreed with his ideals into concentration camps. He then convinced the German citizens that all of their problems were because of Communists and Jews.
The start of WWII
At this point when Hitler came into power he could do basically whatever he wanted to since the world was fearing another World War which they could not afford. Thanks to this Hitler was able to annex Austria with out fighting a single battle. Things where going good for Hitler until he tried taking over Poland, when the allies began to retaliate. With WWII going on Hitler devised a plan to enslave the Jew population in Germany and kill them, this event was called the holocaust and because of it Hitler is often considered one of the cruelest leaders the world has ever seen. At the beginning of WWII Germany was unstoppable, however the momentum of battle had shifted after the Battle of Stalingard. After time the Allied forces were getting closer and closer to Berlin Hitler had retreaded to a safe underground bunker and continued to rule Germany. This bunker was beginning to be to dangerous to live in as well. On April 29th, 1945 Hitler married his mistress Eva Braun and wrote his last will. The day after both Hitler and Eva Braun had committed suicide in the Bunker.
