Heinrich Himmler
Heinrich Himmler was born on October 7th, 1900 in Munich, Germany. As a boy Himmler was a good student, but not as good with his athletics. Himmler married Margarete Boden in 1928, the two had three children. In 1923, Himmler joined the Nazi Party. Throughout the next years Himmler began to research anti-Semitism and read about and worshiped Adolf Hitler's ideas and work. In 1925, Himmler became an SS member. In 1929, Himmler became Reichsführer of the SS, or the commander. Himmler became a very well known SS and Nazi Party member, with great authority. Himmler was one of the main leaders in the concentration camps during the Holocaust, under the command of Adolf Hitler. Himmler gave many orders and built extermination camps to "exterminate" the Jews. It was Himmler who gave the direct orders to kill over six million Jews during the Holocaust. In 1945, the Allied forces began a search for Himmler. Once Himmler was captured he was brought in for examination and interrogation. However, the interrogators were not aware Himmler had a pill in his mouth that he bit into and was dead with fifteen minutes. Himmler's body was buried however the location is still unknown today.
