Anti-Tank Dogs
Between 1930 and 1996 dogs (usually German Shepherds) were used to carry explosives and bombs by the Soviet Union. The dogs were trained to carry the bombs under the German tanks during World War II, however this procedure failed. Next, the dogs were trained to walk underneath the tanks with the bombs and therefore the dog would die when the bomb went off under the tanks. This procedure failed as well for the Soviets because the dogs shied away from the different sound German tanks and ran back to the Soviet tanks, therefore blowing up their own equipment.
Bat Bomb
The bat bomb was an experimental bomb the United States created during World War II, to launch on Japan. The bomb contained Mexican Free-Tailed Bats along with an incendiary bomb. The bombs would be dropped from planes and the parachute would open releasing the bats and bomb. The bats would then fly to Japanese attics and building and live, building roosts; while the bombs would start fires.
