The Battle of Midway
This battle has been considered one of the most decisive battles of World War II. This was a naval battle just outside of the islands of Hawaii and it crippled the Japanese navy. This battle also caused the Japanese to go on the defensive. The Japanese's main goals where to attack and destroy the United State's aircraft carriers which posed the biggest threat to the Japanese taking over the Pacific. The main attack strategy's used was each ship sending their own aircrafts toward the opposing ships attacking them. This battle was the first where a clear-cut winner was shown, which was the US. The results of this battle had repercussions throughout the rest of the entire World War.
