Japanese Internment
Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor a mass hysteria had been produced, American citizens had began to fear their Japanese counterparts that lived in the country. President Franklin Roosevelt had signed Executive Order 9066, this order had requested that there had to be an evacuation of the Japanese Americans. About 120,000 Japanese Americans had been sent to relocation centers, these were created in California, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, and Arkansas. The relocation camps had provided poor living conditions and were extremely overcrowded. The "houses" that they were staying at did not have any cooking facilities or plumbing. In 1944 about two years after signing Order 9066 President Roosevelt ended the order, the last camp had closed at the end of 1945.
